On this week’s Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites, Mary used a hand blender to help make her creamy asparagus soup.
Mary’s admits that she would normally use a food processor, but opted of a hand blender instead for her soup.
The use of a blender allows you to purée quickly without the need to transfer into a separate blender or pan. So to purée her soup, she blended it in a saucepan, rather than tipping the hot liquid into a jug blender.
