Small and light weight, the Sony VAIO UX Micro PC is a desktop PC that fits in your pocket. It comes with technology that allows quick and easy program access along with biometric fingerprint sensor which stores your passwords to allow you to access applications and secure web sites without the need to type them in.
The VAIO UX Micro PC 4.5 inch widescreen is fantastic, but I guess that is what we would expect from Sony. The 1024 x 600 resolution delivers a very crisp and clear viewing surface. It has an Intel Core Solo Ultra Low Voltage CPU, Microsoft Windows Vista operating System, wireless LAN and WAN and Bluetooth technology. The PC is communication ready, with two integrated cameras and built-in microphone and speakers allowing easy communication via VoIP.
The VIAO UX is also very good for entertainment, not only are you able to download movies, music, and games, but the optional Location Free Player Pac enables you to watch TV and DVD’s. The built in port Replicator makes it easy to expand and add peripherals perhaps to include a Bluetooth GPS receiver so you could us the PC as a navigation device.
The keyboard is nicely laid out and is revealed when you slide the display up or the body down. When the keyboard is revealed a blue light comes on and illuminates the keyboard giving it a very cool look. Should you not want to use the keyboard however, you could use the touch panel display instead. You could use your fingers on this but it is advisable to use the stylus provided.
